The AX2500 series is a modular drive system. The servo amplifiers AX2500 are fully software compatible with the AX2000. The multi-axis system includes up to eight axes in its maximum configuration, a supply module with seven axis modules. The supply module contains a power supply, power and auxiliary voltage filters, ballast circuit and resistor, as well as a power amplifier. The following axis modules are directly connected to the supply module and interconnected in the DC link via a connector strip. The 24-V-DC auxiliary voltage is also looped through here. This provides the user with a very compact, cost-optimized servo system that can be flexibly adjusted to their needs. The wiring and commissioning effort compared to individual axes is significantly reduced. Possible sources of error are also minimized by the modular concept. The variable fieldbus connection enables easy integration into different control environments: PROFIBUS DP, SERCOS interface, CANopen, Real-Time Ethernet, and Lightbus. The servo amplifier AX2500 can operate motors with resolver or single/multi-turn absolute encoders. The operation of linear and asynchronous motors is also possible. Pre-assembled motor and feedback cables are offered as accessories. Features: modular servo system, one power connection, power filter centrally contained in the supply module.
