The bus terminal KL5001 is an SSI master and allows the direct connection of an absolute encoder with SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface). Both single-turn and multi-turn encoders are supported. The 24 V supply of the encoder can be provided directly via the terminal's connection points. For an optional 5 V encoder operating voltage, the power supply terminal KL9505 can be used. Different operating modes, transmission frequencies, and bit widths can be permanently set via control registers. The extensive parameterization options thus allow optimal adaptation to different encoder types.
