The ADSL2+ router LANCOM 1721 VPN is one of the top models of the highly integrated LANCOM VPN networking components for secure connection of locations, branches, or subsidiaries. With a standard configuration of 5 VPN channels (optionally 25), an integrated ADSL2+ modem, an ISDN interface for backup, remote maintenance, and LANcapi applications, four separately controllable switch ports, and a USB 2.0 host port, the router is suitable for extremely diverse applications. The integrated firewall with the latest security features such as stateful inspection, intrusion prevention, and denial of service protection is complemented by dynamic bandwidth management and high availability via ISDN and VRRP. The integrated VPN gateway according to IPSec standard ensures optimal security when connecting teleworkers and branches with its optional hardware accelerator and support for digital certificates. The included management systems LANconfig and LANmonitor offer not only cost-effective remote maintenance of entire installations and particularly convenient setup assistants but also complete real-time monitoring and logging. In addition, extensive scripting methods and professional management access with individual access rights via SSH, HTTPS, TFTP, and ISDN dial-in are available for service providers. Due to versatile routing functions, various networks can be easily connected via the same infrastructure. The optional SIP proxy and SIP gateway functions offer significant savings potential by using existing data connections for voice transmission. The integrated ISDN interface offers remote commissioning, dial-in access, and CAPI comfort functions such as fax services for all connected PCs. A USB 2.0 host interface is available for future expansions.
